Hey there, nice to meet you! My name is Christina and if we were in person right now I would be coming at you with arms wide open saying “come here, I’m a hugger!” but we aren’t in person so please accept my virtual hug for now. I’m so happy you’re here! Grab some coffee, take a seat, let’s get to know each other a bit.
Whether you’ve never met me before, you knew me in high school (yikes, not my prime) or we met once in the women’s restroom at a bar (hey girl, hey!) it’s worth an introduction, or a re-introduction. SO. I am 27 years old, a Leo, a dog lover, a boy band listener, a creative, a writer, a woo girl, a loyal friend, a home decor enthusiast, a vodka cranberry drinker, a believer, a wanna-be minimalist, a performer, a devoted wife and proud mama (of both a doggo and tiny human).
I guess you may be wondering why I’m here, and what I have to say. Well, in the past couple of years I have gotten engaged, purchased a condo, gotten married, traveled the world, endured an international pandemic, planned and threw myself a birthday party, gotten pregnant, started needing glasses to read and gave birth to our beautiful Callie Grace (oh yeah, and started a blog). In all the craziness and excitement I experienced in the past few years I have learned a lot, I have grown a lot, and now I am here to tell you all the ways I got it totally right and totally wrong.
My HomeStyleLife was first conceived when a few friends of mine started asking for my advice on decorating their homes. I knew that I loved the way my own home had started to come together and my passion for home design had grown immensely over the past few years, but the idea that other people liked what they saw in my own home enough to ask for my help with theirs? I couldn’t believe it. Did I have a vision worthy enough to be sought out after? Did I have a voice unique enough that someone was willing to listen? And not just listen to appease me, I mean actually listen. It stirred up some confidence in myself that was typically non existent. I always knew I had a lot to say (if you know me, you know this too) but this new feeling that my design, my style, my advice, my thoughts and ideas are uniquely valuable made my heart do a little happy dance. Off I went to create a space in which we could learn and grow together, where ideas are met with open ears and people are met with open hearts.
And so here we are, just sitting here chatting away together with our coffee (or vodka cran) in hand like two friends do. Maybe you’re here because you’re a bride-to-be like I was not that long ago, or a brand new mama like I am now. Maybe you’ve seen pictures of my home before on Instagram and like my style, or maybe you’re just here because you’re mildly curious about what I’ve got to say. Whatever the reason, I’m really glad you’re here and I hope something you see keeps you here to stay. Welcome to My HomeStyleLife, can’t wait to chat again soon.
What do you think?
